Timur Shinaliev, Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, took part in the roundtable “Business Reputation: Innovations in the ECG Rating and Best Practices of State Support for Responsible Business.” It was held in Voronezh as part of the internship for participants in the educational program for training top‑level management personnel “Managerial Excellence of the Leader” at RANEPA. The participants discussed how updated mechanisms for assessing business reputation help businesses gain real advantages.
Timur Shinaliev spoke about the update of the national standard GOST R 71198-2026. Thus, the number of scoring indicators increased from 15 to 20, and the number of questionnaires — from 32 to 37, while the maximum possible score amounted to 170. One of the most important innovations was the inclusion of the indicator “Absence of significant discrepancies in VAT declarations.” “The ECG rating is becoming the first public source of data on the tax risks of counterparties, allowing market participants to instantly assess their tax compliance,” he said.
